What Kind of Credentials Must a Massage Therapist Have?

New York State Massage Therapists must complete courses in anatomy, physiology, neurology, myology, pathology, hygiene, First Aid, CPR and infection control procedures.

They must also have training and practice in the techniques of both eastern and western massage.

Massage Therapists must pass a State Licensing Exam.
